Cold Spring School’s campus includes a
distinctive four-story brick building at the northwest corner of Chapel
and James Streets. Criscuolo Park is across the street to the south. The
entrance to the school is on James Street.
Directions from the shoreline north:
Take Interstate 95 south to New Haven.
As you go over the Quinnipiac River bridge stay in the extreme right
hand lane and take exit 48 onto Interstate 91. Get off 91 almost
immediately at exit 2, Hamilton Street. Turn right at the end of the
ramp onto Hamilton Street. Go two blocks to the end of Hamilton Street
and turn left onto Chapel Street. Go over the Carr Bridge. Cold Spring
School is on the corner of Chapel and James Streets, the first
intersection with a traffic light after the bridge. Turn left at the
intersection and park. The entrance is on James Street.
Directions from Hartford and western points:
Take Interstate 91 south to New Haven.
Get off at exit 2, Hamilton Street. Turn right at the end of the ramp
onto Hamilton Street. Go two blocks to the end of Hamilton Street and
turn left onto Chapel Street. Go over the Carr Bridge. Cold Spring
School is on the corner of Chapel and James Streets, the first
intersection with a traffic light after the bridge. Turn left at the
intersection and park. The entrance is on James Street.
Directions from the south:
Take Interstate 95 north to New Haven. Merge onto Interstate 91 in
New Haven. Get off at exit 5, State Street. At the end of the ramp, bear
right onto James Street. Go through three traffic lights until you see a
fourth light which is the intersection of James and Chapel Streets.
Park as you approach the fourth light; the School is a four-story brick
building on the right-hand side of James Street at the intersection. The
entrance is on James Street.
