New Haven Graves

There was a grave yard on the New Haven green that was made in the 1640's and was taken down in 1747. The headstones were moved but the bodies were not. (So when you walk on the green, you are walking on top of some dead bodies.) There are famous people there, in fact, everyone of them is famous because they were part of the colony. The people wanted to make a church over the gravestones. They moved the rest of the gravestones that weren't underneath the church and they moved them to Grove St. Cemetery. You can still see the gravestones at Center Church or at the cemetery.
