We are holding a sculpture that we made of Sweetgrass, the main character and narrator of the book. The story was very exciting. We all really liked the book. It had lots of information about the problems that Native Americans had when Europeans came to this country. Disease, alcohol, and conflict had a great effect on the life of the Native Americans. The end of the book leaves you thinking about what will happen next for Sweetgrass. We all wondered if she would ever marry Eagle Sun, the one she loves. So we wrote our own "last chapter" to the book. Just click on a face and you can read what each of us wrote.
