| This is a picture of one of the few witch trials that occurred in Saybrook. Elizabeth Colette, a slave of Mary and Lionel Gardiner, was accused of being a witch when the Gardiner's baby died. The trial was heard in Hartford and Elizabeth was let go because of lack of evidence. |
