What is claymation?

Claymation Real Video
Claymation is an animation technique which is done with clay. Some examples of Claymation films are Wallace and Gromit and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Animators use this form of animation to make the models look more realistic because the clay allows them to create flexible movements. The materials include polymer clay such as sculpey or fimo, a paper, a videocamera, and a T.V.

The way to make the picture is to take a shot from the camera and then move the model a tiny bit. Shoot, move, shoot, move, until you create motion. It takes about six shots to make a second of film. It can be fun, but also frustrating.
